China 2025 Undergraduate & Postgraduate Scholarships – Open
The Government of Guyana in collaboration with the Government of China is offering a limited number of scholarships to pursue studies at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels for the 2026/2027 academic year in China.
Applicants are invited from suitably qualified persons for consideration in the following fields of study:
- Clinical Medicine (MD) – Undergraduate
- Veterinary Medicine (DVM.) – Undergraduate
- Civil Material & Structure Engineering (MEng.) – Postgraduate
- Hydraulic & Hydro-Power Engineering (MEng.) – Postgraduate
- Structural Engineering (MEng.) – Postgraduate
Key Eligibility Requirements for Undergraduate Porgrammes
- Applicants must be 25 years or under at the time of application and a holder of a valid Guyanese Passport
- A minimum of five (5) subjects at the Caribbean Secondary Examination Council (CSEC) level inclusive of English Language and Mathematics with Grades I or II.
- For Clinical Medicine – Applicants must have a minimum of two (2) subjects at the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) level (Years 1 & 2) inclusive of Chemistry, Physics or Biology with Grades I or II, an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with a GPA of 3.0.
Closing date for submission of applications is November 21, 2025.
Key Eligibility Requirements for Postgraduate Programmes

Applicants must be 35 years or under at the time of application and a holder of a valid Guyanese Passport.

Applicants must have a relevant Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0.
Chile 2025 Scholarship – Closed
The Government of Guyana in collaboration with the Republic of Chile is offering a limited number of scholarships in Chile at the Master’s Degree level for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Applicants are invited from suitably qualified persons for consideration in the following fields of study:
- Electrical Engineering – Pontifical Catholic University of Chile
- Engineering – Structural Engineering (Geotechnical) – Pontifical Catholic University of ChileData Science
- Information and Management – Pontifical Catholic University of Chile
- Data Science – Adolfo Ibanez University
- Computer Science – Austral University of Chile
Key Eligibility requirements for Applicants:
- Applicants must be a holder of a valid Guyanese Passport.
- Applicants must have a relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
- Applicants must be fluent in the Spanish Language (i.e. must be able to speak, read and write in Spanish)
- Applicants must have an Unconditional Acceptance Letter from the relevant University
